It's Tumble Time!

KDS Tumble Team isn’t just about competition. It’s about confidence, fun, and growth! Students gain valuable experience performing in front of an audience, which helps build poise, focus, and self-esteem. The excitement of competition motivates kids to work hard, and as a result, KDS Tumble Team students often advance more quickly than recreational students.

Plus, being part of a team, wearing their special leotard, t-shirt and jacket, and celebrating their progress makes the whole experience so much fun!

We compete at NAC meets. What is NAC?

NAC stands for National Acrobat Competition—a local tumbling competition for students from KDS’s Tumble Team and other area studios.

Tumble Team Details

How It Works:

Students learn a routine during class based on their skill level (10 levels total).
Each routine has about 15 tumbling skills.
Students may also compete on the Mini Trampoline (5 levels).
Students compete against others in the Kansas City Metro area and receive individual placement awards.
Competitions last 1–3 hours.

Class Info:

Tumble Team class meet once a week for 55 minutes.
Students may choose to take 1 or 2 Tumble Team classes per week.
Classes follow the regular KDS’s tuition schedule.
Recital participation is required to be part of Tumble Team.
Tumble Team members MUST enroll in an additional acrobatics/tumbling class to accelerate progress and build stronger skills. (Cheer, or other dance classes do not meet this requirement.)
Open Tumble: an additional hour usually the night before competition to practice. $12 per tumbler per Open House, must be registered to attend.
